Nibelheim incident vibe was unbelievably 180 on the original. had no idea wtf was happening and was good enough to keep you playing until like 2am. a triumph. don't know why they didn't keep certain things like the Angles in the Staircase or the mad scientist vibe in the basement. but I mean jesus fucking christ, at some point you're just an autist yelling at clouds who wants everything to be The Same because autists are legitimately dismayed by Change. I think a lot of the issues today come from the graphical abilities being so strong. It leaves little room for one’s imagination to fill in the blanks. And as part of this, I think game dev companies actually have less imaginative people in their ranks. Thus we are left with Graphics and fetch quests.

the soundtrack was recorded at Abbey Road. it's awesome.

I think the multi has big potential, i've only done it against bots right now to get a feel for it, but I like the set up and the potential and love dogfighting generally.

I think the future for the series is something like this - keep the on rails/arcadey sections, but greatly expand the offerings and all range mode levels. I would like to open up the all range mode with bigger stages where you can really use altitude to your advantage (maybe play with physics--like add a gravity component where climbing takes more burn). And it would be cool if you had a set of squadron commands where you could set objectives for your wingmates.
