get a mortgage broker who can shop them around. BOA and Wells are notoriously higher on mortgages. They count on dupes just refinancing with them because they have their checking account there and its "easier" as if paying a mortgage on a second website is that hard.

If I were you, i'd contact a mortgage broker, get him to quote you a rate, then run back to your BFF at BOA and see if they match it. Chances are, they suddenly will get approval to give you a lower rate
