The minor owning the property would have established property rights as property owner & under traditional legal precedent minors that would lie about their age would get held liable for contracts they entered into.

Imagine a hypothetical suit where the minor as property owner files a lawsuit against individual x. Individual X (say a parent/guardian) allegedly threatened damage to the property & the minor demands civil damages from Individual X. Even if it's a bogus lawsuit, the minor would have automatic standing as property owner, which would mean the court would have to adjudicate the minor as emancipated after which the minor could simply drop the suit & walk away from the case with an automatic emancipation ruling in his favor?

Formal Legal Emancipation gives a minor Contractual Capacity & removes international travel restrictions.

Unlike owning a car or any other item, the ownership of real estate explicitly requires one to be above the majority. In any other scenario the court could simply avoid the emancipation question.

I'm raising this issue as there are many responses in this thread that pertain to the purchase of real estate, which requires one to be above the age of majority.
