St Peter is buried in Rome. Hence St Peter's Basilica.
It seems this site is actually a Shiite muslim pilgrimage site - the illiterate goatherds claim without any basis that this random village in Lebanon is where Peter is buried. I guess it's like a Mexican abuelita seeing some saint in a taco and turning the taco into a shrine.
So not a Christian site. And I don't give a fuck what mudslime sites the Israelis blow up.

=====
The "mausoleum shama lebanon" likely refers to the Maqam Shamoun Al Safa, a Shi'ite shrine and mosque in the village of Shamaa, Lebanon, believed to contain the mausoleum of Saint Peter. Known in Arabic as Shamoun al-Safa, this location is a major pilgrimage site for Shiite Muslims and was originally built or renovated by the Fatimids in 1097. The shrine was heavily damaged during the 2024 Israeli invasion of Lebanon.
Name and Significance: The village and shrine are named after Shamoun al-Safa (Simon Cephas), the Arabic name for Saint Peter, who is traditionally believed to be buried there. For Shiite Muslims, this is a significant pilgrimage site, with many visiting the memorial annually.
History: The shrine has a long history, with its current structure being attributed to the Fatimid period, specifically a renovation or construction in 1097.
Location: The Maqam Shamoun Al Safa is located in the village of Shamaa, within the Tyre District of Lebanon's South Governorate.
Recent Events: The shrine sustained significant damage on November 15, 2024, during the 2024 Israeli invasion of Lebanon.
