formal logic can't exist pre-literacy but its actual utility to philosophy is still an open question (considering that analytic philosophy is basically worming its way back to ancient thinkers in the past couple decades)
and in any case the problem isn't literacy, it's presuming your society on it when most persons are not capable of even superficial literacy, much less the sort of thing we meant when we called men literate centuries ago (read the Coomaraswamy essay brother) |

In a way, the SEC does try to prevent people with less than 120 IQ from investing in anything other than vanilla investments via things like accredited investor requirements and stringent regulations on brokers. Crypto happens to be unregulated and decentralized so normies get the chance to go buckwild. |
