They used to care more about Gen X 20-30 years ago because they were trying to fuck/rape/sexually harass as many Gen X women as possible, and they had short moments of aging anxiety as they all reached their 40s and Gen X was asserting its cultural identity. But by 1995-96 boomers were back in control and post-9/11 they scoff at the idea that Gen X has any significance or deserves any credit for building the future. Gen X in the 00s was hilariously beta and aligned with Millennials and let Millennials take the lead, which created the disastrous reality TV and social media driven culture of today.
