i have a true story like this, but not as embarrassing.
a year and a half ago, i was texting a friend of mine about hip hop and wrote "NWA or wu tang?" and it turned out i'd sent that to the head of HR for a hospital system i represent. luckily, the guy is about my age and he and i are pretty tight. i immediately wrote back "uh, disregard. was sending that to someone else." he responded "hahaha. well i'm a big eazy e fan, so nwa."
i worry about doing this all the time. luckily it has only happened once.
