killing her aides, killing candidates from her party, gunning down kids and bystanders, openly driving convoys of makeshift cartel MRAPs down the highways in states like guanajauto and michoacan, operating more openly around guadalajara, etc.
mexicans went the opposite route of el salvador, and have tried to placate/buy off the cartels. that might work in theory if ONE cartel were elevated above the others with state support, but they can't even do THAT correctly, and there are still multiple competing factions slaughtering each other as the mexican state recedes.
