Date: July 3rd, 2025 10:04 AM Author: Bull Headed Shrine Travel Guidebook no, there's some convincing evidence in "positioning" from russian state security mouthpieces showing that he's had ties and has been being groomed by russian proxies for some time. is this a big deal? in 202x? i have no idea, increasingly naked foreign influences are everywhere in DC, but it does make one a bit uncomfortable, especially considering his stances on NATO and the EU. re russia i agree with this and promoted this for a good while but the CIA jumped the gun in ukraine and now there's no small deal of bad blood between a thrice-betrayed putin and the US. the best strategy there was to just let them sleep into socio-economic stagnation and oblivion. now? russia is on guard and will be both re-arming and looking at the US with much less amiability than they were before. good for people long on defense stocks i guess re china and russian relations it appears to be up in the air now. russia is in a much less secure position due to the ukraine conflict than they were before, and if china decides to put pressure on russia then it's possible they could start courting better relations with the US. i think one of russia's geostrategic medium-long goals is to damage EU-US relations and move in as a senior partner in Europe (a natural and long desired position for Russia, even before the Soviet) and try to politically align Eurasia against both the US and China---and this is something that trump's administration seems to be playing into, atm. the last point should be underlined for emphasis---if i was playing "Diplomacy 2025" in russia's position it's what i'd do. |

Brennan and Comey and Clapper got directly involved in processes that are supposed to be done by the lower levels. IC people didn't want the assessment to even mention the thoroughly discredited Steele Dossier but Brennan kept overruling them and insisting that it be included.
the conclusion was leaked to the press a week before it's finalized and then it was used to get the Mueller bullshit going. on the eve of the inauguration Obama has the meeting and insists that the ensuing attack on Trump be done "by the book."
