All the galleries do this. They draw crowds by offering free alcohol. When I went to Maui, I was in Lahaina on Friday night with my pals and we went into some of the galleries and there was art everywhere, literally flowing into the street, and it was the same thing—they wanted 5 and 6 figures for everything. They had these goofy people who I’m sure would get fat commissions off of anything they sold. All of that fraud burned up. All of it. Gone. |
