My wife has a terminal illness — she wants sex with her ex one last time

A heartbroken husband says his wife’s dying wish was to sleep with her ex “one more time.”

Posting on Reddit 2 years ago, the anonymous man alleged his wife of a decade had just nine months to live. The original post was deleted but it has been reposted and has since resurfaced.

“My wife has a terminal disease. She is projected to live at most 9 months. I am of course destroyed. We’ve been together for a decade. I don’t remember life without her and I don’t know what I’m going to do when she’s gone. I have been doing my best to make the last days of her life good and grant whatever wish I can,” his post began.

He explained that his wife would need a wheelchair for 4 or 5 months and then she would be bedridden “if she didn’t decline faster.”

To add to the man’s sadness over losing his wife, she reportedly asked him if she could be with the most “physically compatible” lover she’s ever had — her former flame.

“Recently she sat me down and told me that one of the last things she wanted to do was have sex with a previous partner of hers. I of course was shocked and when I asked why the f—k she wants that,” he lamented.

“So basically she thinks that her most physically compatible satisfying lover was him. She gave a whole monologue about how sex sometimes is just physical and how emotionally fulfilling sex is with me but it was bulls—t to get to that point,” he continued.

The man said he was left with a grave decision to make.

“So now I’m left with this, deny my dying wife a wish for my own ego, or let her go f—k another man who she feels was better. Honestly I’m so pissed of and betrayed that she asked this of me. I feel like I’m put in a position where I have to say yes because she’s dying,” he expressed.

“I know what I want to say, but I don’t know if that’s right. I’m so hurt that sex with an ex was apparently so good that she needs to do it once before she dies. I just hate everything about this,” he added.

Commenters on the man’s post commiserated with him and expressed their disbelief.

“If her dying wish was to murder a child, would we grant that wish? How about to go on safari and hunt an endangered animal? Or to rob a bank? Dying wishes aren’t free passes for s—t behavior. If she’s committed to this course of action, then the relationship is over, and she can die alone in a hospice or with her f—kboy,” wrote one poster, who also questioned whether the disease might be impacting the woman’s cognitive abilities.

“Honestly sounds harsh but this right here. It is absolutely terrible that she is dying — but it doesn’t give her license to do whatever she wants regardless of the costs and have you accept it,” wrote another.

“Dying doesn’t mean suddenly you can live your wildest fantasies even if they really hurt people. You don’t get a pass where you’re suddenly allowed to do whatever you want with no consequences,” said a third.

“If that’s what she wants to do, it’s totally okay to tell her she has to do it alone, and that you don’t want to be part of that’s totally fine and you owe her nothing that you aren’t comfortable with just because she’s dying. I think she’s disgusting for even saying this stuff to you,” the horrified commenter’s post continued.
