Imho never because of the mechanism by which Stadiums and Teams are funded. Pro stadiums are paid for by billionaires with some help from corporate welfare. It won't matter if there's no tax base left.
Property taxes support school districts who build extravagent stadiums for Jocks. If the superintendent were to refuse something like this he'd get shoved into a locker. Losers like OYT pay property taxes. Jocks get lifelong abatements. Discuss.
It won't matter btw how good AI/robots get at "sports," people will still want to see a Jock do it imo. |
