No one earns that much in ordinary income except maybe some professional service types but very few

The problem with taxing wealthy on income is it’s mostly cap gains

Taxing cap gains at high rates creates all kinds of inefficiencies

In a sane world we’d have very high consumption taxes on luxury / rich people stuff but we are a dumb people

France tried this shit years ago and they realized there were like 15 people in the entire country who actual had reported incomes over that amount. in america's case it's basically an asshole tax on athletes and movie stars and everyone else with a brain will be able to get around it

shitlibs obssession with higher taxes esp on the "rich" is such absurd garbage. when will idiots realize taxation isnt normal for 99.99% of human history u werent taxing every god damn thing

taxes particularly on the mega rich wont amount to shit and will just reduce their economic output, u shld be taxing the most productive richest ppl the LEAST, any society is really functioning only cause of the top 1%, everyone else is just a furking peon retard

yeah taxes are a relatively modern thing if you ignore the vast historical records of tax collectors and references to them spanning the middle east, asia, and europe.
