If you do a deep dive into our economy vs. China you'll see that they are primarily looking at things like factories, housing units, infrastructure and ours is mainly fart apps, "services" (people who tell fart apps how to get more subscribers) and upgrades on phones and similarly inane shit. Our valuations are just dumb ("oooh, this fart app is worth $4.3 billion because it leverages AI to fart!") while in China they will say "this building is worth $30 million" because, that's what it is worth. Maybe it is only worth $28 million irl and many will say "omg, inflating valuation!" Meanwhile, the $4.3 billion fart app is worth almost nothing.
