ST. LOUIS — A man died after a shooting Saturday morning in the city's Peabody-Darst-Webbe neighborhood, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
Just before 11 a.m., police said District 3 officers responded to a shooting in the 1200 block of South 13th Street, located across the street from Peabody Elementary School.
Police found a 19-year-old man injured from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to a hospital in critical condition. At about 1 p.m., police announced that he died. Homicide detectives are now looking into the case.
One person was detained for questioning in connection with the homicide.
