As a 40 year old man how do you find time for single player gaming?

Tyty my dear Pumo :-)
I was one of the few people I knew who had one, which was so odd in retrospect because I grew up in an UMC SoCal environment circa Y2K where money wasn't the deciding factor, but quite literally a lack of awareness that the product existed in this case.
Nintendo was everywhere, Playstation was everywhere, the first Xbox (and the 360 IIRC) had a huge marketing push, but I only heard of Dreamcast when one of those cozy turn of the 21st century general hi tech lifestyle stores - "The Good Guys" (all credit to Google Search AI for refreshing my memory) located on the first story of a multistory building below Tower Records on South Lake Avenue in Pasadena, I can remember it vividly like it was only yesterday - had one set up as a demo display right around the time it came out.
My dad was a rich generous prep who didn't seem to mind that his only son (me, future Autoadmit poaster) was a born loser, because all my sisters loved playing video games and computer games, too, and I always had at least one best friend and a polite presentable girlfriend growing up, so he always bought whatever we asked for in terms of nerdy hobby stuff (usually just video games and computer games - also my mom probably saved my bacon by refusing to buy Magic cards / Pokemon cards etc. or any comic books besides Calvin and Hobbes)
Sorry for the stream of consciousness poast but it's just great to see you in this context, stumbling across a random subthread effort poast that you enjoyed, and bringing back so many wonderful memories of the good old days (circa 2021/2022?)
In conclusion:
I'm gay.
