China has tons of ancient historical figures that were geniuses in math or science, but only in recent times has there been real exchange between east and west, so of course any scientific developments or breakthroughs in Europe will not build off of what was discovered in China, or vice versa. |

People meme on education now because of our system at this particular point in time but there's a reason we emphasized it so much historically in America and the West as a whole. The invention of modern analytical thought and education system was what allowed the West to tear ahead after a millennium of stagnation
