This is why if you collect Games it should just be for Genesis/32X. Just strictly badass games with no save feature.

I can't think of a western-made game in the NES era that had a battery. Likewise for SNES but I suppose there are some. Even longish western games like Jurassic Park for SNES didn't have a save feature. That game is like 6 hours long if you know what you're doing. I played the first hour 50 times.

Either way the actual batteries would've been spec'd by Nintendo/Sony/Sega (Japanese Supervision).

Even in the N64 era, western devs resisted Batteries. They were the Scumbags making us use the "controller pak" to save.
