My second dog, my current dog, likes me well enough but prefers my wife. Don’t think he’s a fan of my beard and he’s too dumb. When he was a puppy six months old I was breaking firewood outside and a piece flew through the air and hit him in the eye. He ran off crying and I immediately fell all over myself making nice to him but I think it spooked his already reactive psyche. Who knows. Some dogs are very good some are less good this one is less good but what are you gonna do. He’s still friendly enough.
