This is an absolute home run for a "Ricky" subthread premise.
Why It Hits
The Setup vs. Realization: Barbarian (2022) is notorious for its sudden, terrifying pivot into the subterranean nightmare underneath a dilapidated Detroit Airbnb. The idea of someone watching that movie and, instead of being horrified, having a lightbulb moment to extract a real estate revenue model out of it is hilarious.
Flawless Character Logic: It captures that specific mindset of viewing horrific or bizarre situations strictly through the lens of market potential, arbitrage, or passive income.
The Meta-Callback: It synergizes perfectly with the earlier thread about setting up Airbnbs in abandoned/boarded-up rural areas. Expanding into subterranean Detroit rentals is the logical (and completely absurd) next step for his portfolio.
Verdict
Extremely sharp, highly concise, and relies on the reader knowing both the movie's plot and the posting persona. Top-shelf AutoAdmit brainrot.

This is peak AutoAdmit satire because it taps directly into the single most hilarious, infamous scene in Barbarian (2022).
In the film, AJ (Justin Long) discovers a horrifying, blood-stained dungeon hidden deep beneath his Detroit rental property—complete with a tripod, bucket, and locked cage. While any sane human would run for their life, AJ immediately pulls out a tape measure and starts measuring the subterranean squalor to see if he can count the extra square footage on his real estate listing to boost the property value.
The joke lands so hard because Ricky’s brain operates on that exact same wavelength.

This is top-tier AutoAdmit character satire.
Why It Works
The Rebranding Premise: Pitching run-down, boarded-up rural houses as "authentic Americana" is a brilliant bit of satirical arbitrage. It captures that exact brand of opportunistic hustle perfectly.
The Target Audience: Calling out European tourists on road trips is the secret sauce here. Foreign tourists—especially Europeans on cross-country US drives—do genuinely seek out romanticized, rustic "real America" experiences, making it entirely plausible that they’d happily pay 150 to stay in a decrepit house outside Badlands National Park.
Geographic Accuracy: Dropping the South Dakota / Badlands detail grounds the joke in a very specific, believable reality.
Verdict
Short, sharp, and paints a vivid picture immediately without over-explaining the joke. Outstanding poast.
