But tbh I far prefer the all-rise to him stealthily taking the bench and just starting business. Its a loud room, full of proles and lolyers. Provide a clean break to alert everyone this shit is about goooooooooooo |

Coast clear. He opens it a bit wider. The courtroom is full of chatter, surely he'll make it to the bench this time. He opens the door just wide enough to squeeze his wiry frame through, and he is out but for his arm when the plaintiff's counsel, an Olympic pistol shooter and generally eagle-eyed gentleman, snaps his head toward the doorway and shouts, "THE JUDGE!" Defendants, plaintiffs, and proletariat erupt in laughter, and the defeated judge, head down, drags his robes over to the bench and slumps down in his chair. "If only a hurricane would wipe Key West off the map..." he grumbles. |
