Wild part is that we haven’t sanctioned a lot of the on-chain activity from these Chinese precursor vendors. You can basically just order 4-piperidone online and have it shipped to you house in the US, then just work with the cartels. |

We know of 100s of fentanyl vendors wallet addresses but we don’t sanction them. We just watch the addresses receive millions of dollars worth of payments for precursor chemicals.
Without sanctions, the exchanges/banks don’t really take it seriously. |

No one is saying they ONLY launder money for the cartels, or that cartels even compose 10% of their business. The total volume of cash the Chinese govt has to launder for these cartels is probably a few billion a year, but global drug trade generates like $300bn in revenues.
