So I climbed to the summit Starbucks for my daily latte and biscotti and was stunned when a barista named Pam said they were out because of a blizzard or something. This is totally unacceptable! When I got my drink -- sans biscotti -- it wasn't even hot and had whipped cream even though I explicitly said no whipped cream. To make matters worse, the seating area was closed for cleaning and I had to hike across a crevasse to find a seat only inches away from a 5500 foot vertical drop. This was very concerning, to say the least. And did I mention that their tablet charging station was closed as well? And that there were decomposing bodies right outside the entrance? I was livid all the way to base camp and will not be returning to this location.
