I wear $9.88 reading glasses from Safeway aisle 6 (next to the Always pads and blood pressure cuffs).
I’ve worn them since 2011.
I clean them with the inside of my Safeway polo.
I have never ONCE considered letting a "jet black man" aim a laser at my eyeball because I "didn’t feel hot" in photos.
This guy was a cop. A police officer. I thought "The Law Is Sacred?"
And he still said yes to elective eye melting because he didn't want to "deal with contact lenses anymore."
Have we lost the plot?
How dare he. How dare this "Society."
And my obese, single, 40 something Black "boss," Tabitha, once accused me of being “passive-aggressive” because I didn't compliment her new tinted glasses.
Now I’m expected to tiptoe around emotionally unstable post-LASIK boomers because they can't cry anymore due to "evaporative tear syndrome"?
I put eye drops in at 11:45 PM every shift. They burn. That’s life.
