Like their story is that they missed it when they searched his backpack at the McDonald's bc their search was too hasty but they found it when they searched more thoroughly at the station. Sloppy police work is not hard to believe but what's weird is that the cop driving with his backpack turned off her body cam for 11 min on the way back to the station and during that time, she gave the backpack to someone else who also had his camera off.
