How does this play out for software engineers tho. Whats the point of hiring some mediocre young bro when Claude will just spit out a month’s worth of code in a day?

It’s smarter than humans now so it’s actually dangerous.
I’m setting up a captive ad agency within our broker-dealer construct. The idea is the agency will spend money marketing for some top 10 ETF clients as a forum of client loyalty reward program. We benefit because leads generated from the marketing will also be used to market our retail business. The agency platform will also develop newsletters and other IP we can sell access to to non-client ETFs and use the agency to cross sell our other services to them. Naturally there are big big big compliance issues here. Reg BI for starters. FINRA 2210 on top. An affiliate transaction problem also follows because the structure triggers various charter provisions that will require board approvals and intercompany agreements that will need to be shared with regulators. Real legal work. Big minefield. Claude ID’d all this but it spat out 3000 words of complexity to our CEO. He flipped and nearly killed the entire venture because he checks Claude before he speaks to the GC or me. We had to talk him off a ledge and explain that these conflicts and approvals are actually easy to paper over. Claude was right on every legal point but too stupid to talk to a billionaire.

Why is it saving you legal spend? Maybe I’m misunderstanding but isnt the point of asking outside counsel just to have them as cover. Or do you just mean you saved 300k overall (which makes sense)
