Go UP when semiconductor stocks go DOWN Move about 3× (triple) the daily opposite move of the semiconductor sector
👉 Example:
If semiconductor stocks fall –1% in a day, SOXS aims to go +3% If semiconductors rise +1%, SOXS goes –3% ⚠️ The important catch (this is where people get burned)
It only targets that 3× inverse return for ONE DAY.
Over multiple days:
Returns can drift and behave unpredictably You can lose money even if the sector trends downward slowly
This is due to something called compounding (you don’t need the math—just know it matters a lot here). |
