My mom died a few years back right before my first was born and we had no childcare and made a decision for my wife to be a SAHM. We only had enough to buy a $136k shithole. Everyone told me I’m crazy. Her family disowned me saying I can’t provide for my family. We are anticipating to sell it for $250k. Now I make 4x as much and getting this place means a lot to me. My son always said he wants an house with stairs so now he does. Especially to do it without the family loan.
