Imagine a circle rotating at the speed of light. A larger circle concentric with the first circle, if impelled by the same force, will then rotate faster than the speed of light. Whatever you suppose the speed of light to be, it is always possible to construct a circle that will spin faster than the speed of light. Therefore, there is no fastest speed, and there are speeds faster than the speed of light.
