I stipulate that the tube sites changed the game 15+ years ago and the proliferation of amateur content means no one will ever lack for internet porn to watch. But I think of porn subscription sin taxes as more like cigarette taxes ie you’re primarily trying to inhibit economic actions by and extract tax revenue from the lowest IQ and dumbest consumers in the market. Ie you’re piggybacking off the exploitation to let the government target a population that’s already identified itself as worthy of targeting, and you might also make the exploiters a little less wealthy along the way.
