Which is why I agree with this impression that it's more for women, with their attention whore tendencies. I wonder how many fewer trips would be taken if people couldn't post about it on Instagram or whatever.

I've got my house set up perfectly for what I like to do, I'm within easy driving range of mountains for when I want a nature fix. Travel just doesn't seem worth the risk of getting stuck at an airport, etc.

I travel because where I go is better to spend time than where I live. In particular the Italian Riviera (which is actually just THE Riviera) and Mexico City.

Basically very pure accessible drugs and LA model tier women and overall European style aesthetics and carefree hedonism within a few square kilometers in central city.

the return experience at the airport from Jamaica a few months ago turned me off of traveling again for the next 20 years or so. I don't know how people voluntarily put themselves through that wringer just to reach some geolocation on this compost heap earth.

long lines wrapped around in loop-dee-loos for ages, just shuffling like zombies with travel bags from one shabbily organized checkpoint to another, the weight of your travel luggage bearing down on your tired legs, the sight of offensive phenotypes in tacky clothing, the ambient noise...it's all barely tolerable IMHO.

Everywhere has something it excels in relative to somewhere else.
