Ocarina of Time really is a quintessential #1 imo. Not just for its "influence" either. A lot of people say it's influential. It didn't influence all that much. Mega Man Legends did a lot of the same things by the time OOT released. What it did in terms of influence is that it started to move Console video games out of the domain of being a retarded activity for Loser idiots. It's also one of the few times in any medium where something was hyped to such an extent, and it actually delivered on it. One Game to rule them all, on a Console with No Games. |
