Cautiously optimistic and ready to get hurt again, this team is absolutely stacked and it's only getting better.

UM is loaded with talent but I do not believe Cristobal can coach.
Challenge for ND will be to stick with running game no matter the score and not overwhelm Carr with the playbook. ND often wants to come out with some air raid shit in “big games”. They should feed Love and Price all night
Final 24-21 ND

Let's beat those fucking convicts' ass!
Easily the biggest game of the year for ND. I'm laying the points and hammering the under, this will be a defensive struggle as the QBs work into shape.

i would say nd is overrated, but having just watched clemson im reminded that preseason rankings are complete horseshit anyway.
ND overachieved last year and largely caught lightning in a bottle over the playoff run. The loss of that safety to the nfl (forgot his name, but wore 0) is a big loss. He was the most dominant safety in cfb imo, and basically shut down 60% of most opposing offenses just bc no one could go deep.
this is not to mention ND defense lost the best coordinator on either side of the ball in Golden.
I think their defense takes a major step back. On offense, they have a generational talent in love, who is not a big guy, injury prone, and likely wont make it through 17 games or whatever is now required to reach the championship.
i heard the QB battle was close, which could be a good sign that they have multiple talented QBs but more often means no one really stood out.
So ND is possibly starting a QB who is new, not ready, and on the road in conditions completely unlike south bend. They have a great but fragile RB who for whatever reason they often ignore. And they have a defense that will be worse than last year, maybe a lot worse.
I like ND but this is a very losable game for them.
On the plus side, da U has not found a way to build a team out of their recruits in twenty years and I dont think they start this year, by bringing in a QB who has no chemistry with the program. Also a losable game.
Miami takes the win, merely due to homefield advantage, and all their recruits playing HS in swamp conditions

my two favorite cfb teams growing up, besides BC
in retrospect kind of weird to like the squeaky clean Catholics and the thuggish ruggish The U but whatever
