1- the warriors key players are healthy and look amazing right now. they havent lost a step. the problem with being "geriatric" is that they'll be more prone to injury and less likely to be healthy for the playoffs, which is what actually matters. but the warriors look *good* right now.
the nuggets were ahead in that game until steph went ballistic. jokic played like shit that game- he looked fat and slow and bricked a dozen 3s. (tbf, aaron gordon had a career game, but i think overall their performances even out). first game of the season, so not surprising things were uneven. the game went to OT ffs. its not like they got their asses beat. jokic has looked progressively better in each game since- he is clearly playing himself into nba shape as he has done in the past.
2- the nuggets have shot over 50% as a team every game this season.
3- the nuggets now have one of the deepest rosters in the country. they can legitimately go 10 deep with playoff caliber players now. the best part about this is that jokic can rest- for the first time, they have an actual backup big.
4- their offense looks fucking amazing. their defense is actually competitive now.
imo if they are healthy the nuggets are my #1 pick to win it all this year. they almost beat okc last year with a 6 man rotation and 2 injured starters. this roster is stronger from top to bottom

I can imagine it being like a 5 game cycle where they each sit one out and then two more are one or the other leads and they both go all out only 20% of the time against the best teams to simulate playoff reps. But given the perimeter athletes they already have it would be rare for them to give up 100 points and they would post some kind of crazy +15 net rating.
