Community ties in the US?
Oh, you mean the malls and going to the movies at weekends and hanging out with family and friends?
Right. I knew there was something so different about life in the US that I was missing and couldn't find here. Oh, ever mind, I can.
There's a decent American population in the UAE now. About 10,000 people in Dubai alone. Oil and gas, finance, banking, some law, lots of security/defense contracting.
I was in Singapore before this stint in Dubai. It's interesting how different cities attract different types of expats. Singaporean and HK expats were douchier because many more worked in finance.

malaysia is getting overrated now by retards desperate to leave the west, outside of KL lots of places are just rundown, the muzzie majority is out for blood and discriminates against chinks and turds. the infra is ok by SE asian standards but most cities arent walkable
there's some weird western boomer flame abt retiring in malaysia but i find it lolzy, i cld never live in a muzzie countries, those freaks are one "insult" from mass violence
