The "galleries" are all in on it. All you need is for a "gallery" to do a nighttime "showing" of your art. All the galleries do this. They draw crowds by offering free alcohol. Of course rich people think it's good, why else would an actual ART GALLERY choose to feature this person's art at a special event? If anything you're getting a bargain by buying now, before this artist blows up.

I remember in my 20s thinking that I might be interesting to look into acquiring a painting from an artist so I went into a gallery and everything was like $8,000 and up.
When I went to Maui, I was in Lahaina on Friday night with my pals and we went into some of the galleries and there was art everywhere, literally flowing into the street, and it was the same thing—they wanted 5 and 6 figures for everything. They had these goofy people who I’m sure would get fat commissions off of anything they sold.
All of that fraud burned up. All of it. Gone.
