Looks like you can cop a Walther PPK for $600 now. The only thing that's gotten CHEAPER since cons took control of the economy. Why isn't this already the most popular 9mm?

EDIT the PDP is what I was remembering, not the PPK

The Ruger Marlins are becoming more readily available.

I kind of want to get a Colt Python in .357 and a Colt King Cobra in .22lr. And pair them with matching Henry’s in each caliber. Go cowboy shooting with the kids. Buckets of 22 all summer long!

I don't know anything about Walther but PPK looks heavy and low capacity with exotic low velocity rounds

Basically the worst of all worlds for a sub compact

I'm not really a gunmo and it doesn't make sense for me to buy something I don't like holding in my hand. I have this thing called a chillum stone that you just hold in your hand and it relaxes you. I would want a pistol that gives me that same feeling.

100% agreed

The first time I held a Glock 19 it literally felt perfect in my hand

How many guns have you actually held?

If you have big hands just get a 1911 or a Glock 10mm

I had a 1911 for years, and I would just buy another one if they weren't still so expensive. I flinched less with it, probably because of the .45 thud.

Glocks always felt blocky in my hand. During the Obama years I felt pressure to buy a Glock because they were the easiest and cheapest to get, and everyone else raved about them, but I just never liked the grips.

EDIT it's the PDP I was thinking of, not the PPK

Why are you talking about a PPK if you have a big hand? it's like the exact gun you don't want with a big hand... https://www.reddit.com/r/Walther/comments/16llqnj/200_rounds_with_a_walther_ppk/

I edited. It was the PDP and this was years ago, when Obummer was office. It was the only handgun they had in stock at the store that felt good to hold. Like I would just hold it my hand (loaded, of course) for fun if I owned one. But I couldn't justify the cost vs the M&P. I gave away that gun when I moved and forgot about ever buying a handgun again till I saw how cheap they are now.

I think they look cool tbh and I'll just get flamed by Hegemon regardless but old guns are cool or old designs at least. As far as objects go they have "soul" imo. But it's a ridiculously bad choice for defense. The blowback design means it recoils as much as a polymer 9mm despite the weaker caliber. It has like half the capacity of a Sig 365 and a much weaker caliber with roughly the same recoil and HEAVIER. Practically the same width too. With that said I'd rather have the PPK and be dead than be alive with the Sig maybe.
