This was a terrible week in my life

I need to get away from smart phone. I love politichs and sportsball and shit. I definitely overdosed. I ended up just wasting my time accomplishing nothing.
The only worse week this year is when I binged every season of White Lotus. When I stop working hard I get really depressed. If I didn't have work I would spiral. Besides work and family and relationships life is pretty shitty when you don't have somewhere you have to be and something you have to do. Vacations are turbo depressing for me. |

I also think I need to actively avoid watching sports. There's an addictive element there. The playoffs burned a hole in my brain. Imagine tying your emotions to something so trivial. I sent like 5 people a text message complaining about a bullshit strike three call that the umpire missed on the Padres. I've never watched a Padres game before in my life. I just get so emotional for no reason. It's crazy. And I'm supposed to watch a game on Sunday but I need to cancel on it for my own sanity. Plus hockey starts next week and if I subscribe to the streaming channel I will lose myself in a black hole. Touching grass doesn't even begin to describe my state of mind. That goes straight to the top of 'single worst calls' in MLB history given its magnitude. I am somebody who think teams and fans who blame the refs are huge losers. But that one was robbery. They should have had bases loaded no outs. No guarantee down 3 runs but they should have had a crack at one swing to change the whole game.
I was utterly shocked how little the batter seemed to care. I would have gone to jail in that moment. This dude should have choked out the ref and faced a multi year suspension for his actions. I would have absolutely melted down. The coach should have too. I couldn't believe how chill they were. I'm still steaming about it. |
