it would have been a dustbin classic or very, very minor regional new wave hit at best but for the artist's fame. it's a good song but nothing special and just succeeds on bruce's fame and great delivery. he's famous because he has a great persona and the songs swing hard and sound good, not because he's a truly great songwriter or musician.
