Getting asked by an employee of a multi billion dollar corporation to donate to whatever cause while checking out is just ridiculous. You just made a profit off of my purchases from the money I earned working my butt off being a lawyer. How about you take some of that and toss it into your stupid fucking jar?
It's not as if some giant banner will be displayed with my name on it saying - so and so donated! No, it'll be the corporation's name on it talking about how great they are that they've made the contribution.
It's the same as tipping, which is also dumb, imo; I'm not paying extra to subsidize anything because I don't care about your compensation. |
