Mearsheimer says it was a grave mistake 30 years ago to

- continue obsessing about Russia

- jam multiple rounds of NATO expansion down Russia's throats

- gleefully pay for China to transform from third world into world power

From here, he recognizes China is the biggest threat to American hegemony. But obviously he's not advocating for hot war, just pointing out how retarded American policy has been wrt China and Russia. America has put itself at a big disadvantage and that increases the chances China tries something, but he doesn't think they'll attack Taiwan.

Mearsheimer believes somehow that the U.S. can ally with Russia or something because Chinese could seize the Far East with ease.
