Musk, not really being a "numbers guy," and also being a foreigner who never set foot in America until age 24-ish, and who still can't explain how he got a green card, and being high all the time, saw REALLY BIG NATIONAL DEBT NUMBERS over here in this foreign land. For like 2 months, Musk yelled and screamed that the US was going to bankrupt IMMEDIATELY.
It's not that different from Musk predicting the IMMINENT collapse of white European society if whites don't start reproducing IMMEDIATELY. Musk is always like this. If he thinks a number is "big," he thinks it's HOLY SHIT THIS IS HUGE big.
That's why Trump decided tariffs were so damn important. Even if the tariffs destroy the economy, and even if they only generate enough revenue to cover 4% of budget deficit, Trump feels like he has to do everything he can to save this sinking ship. Elon convinced him America is facing IMMINENT FISCAL COLLAPSE and he can't shake his belief in it. |

Grow the economy, create more income, and boom! you create more income tax revenue. Elon wouldn't know this because he didn't live here in the 1980s.
