the point of early sports is not skill development. it's learning how to interact with other kids, follow directions, and learn how to move their bodies in new ways. skill development typically comes later.
sometimes, you'll see the rare 4 or 5 year old hitting baseballs or making 6 foot jumpshots. it's usually just an accident of development that doesn't mean a ton about their long term ability.

Little kids have trouble understanding soccer. Most of them just run up and down the field without a clue as to what they are doing, but they still have fun and get exercise. Baseball at that age is usually tee-ball, where there is no pitching and they hit off a post. My coaching success with tee-ball was getting one little four year old guy to turn left when he got to first base instead of keeping on running into the outfield. We all had a lot of fun.
It gets bad when they get older because so many of the parents become hypercompetitive assholds.

My reviews:
Soccer - kids will enjoy this about age 3 or 4 - its very easy for kids to get the hang of. By age 5 or 6 the kids are running all the time and can kick a goal and get excited about it. Most schools have "soccer shots" which is a brilliant device where they give your 2 year old a jersey and teach him soccer at daycare and charge you $100 to put a ball in front of him. The huge plus though is that you as a parent don't have to do anything at all - which is amazing because watching toddlers play soccer sucks.
Basketball - this is probably good for kids 5 to 6. if the program has lower baskets (like a normal school) the kids can heave it up there. They like dribbling and passing drills, etc.
Tee ball / coach pitch - I'm surprised how much this sucks. Basically the kids just play in the grass most of the game. Kids younger than 6 often run the wrong way or at the wrong times. Even at 8 years old no kid really understands the rules. You just wait for your kids to hit the tee or swing and miss at a 10 mph pitch 25 times, then when they finally hit it, you wait for 8 other kids to do the same. My kids liked it because it was their first activity

Organized? no. Look for clubs that provide free "futures" programs. It's a practice session with games like sharks and minnows and then "festivals" which are small games like 3v3 so they get a lot of touches and have fun.
It's an investment for the club that they use to identify talented players early on for their academy teams.
