MPM2025 starts tomorrow. It is officially called the Watchmen Memorial Megapoaster Madness Tournament of 2025.

Inclusion in the final 64 was based on 2025 poasting volume (my perception of it). Soe beloved poster were excluded because they didn’t post much during the year.

Higher seedings are based on my sense of who might win. Lower seeds are meaningless, below 4th seeds it was essentially random. Group allocation and match-ups are totally random (challonge’s random function). Boom is a #1 seed because I loved that guy and he’s the most iconic poster of all time and I’m very upset that something might have happened to him, so I wanted to.

Dates:

Groups A + B: 2 days of voting: 12/20 and 12/21

Groups C + D: 2 days of voting: 12/22 and 12/23

Final 32: 3 days of voting over Christmas: 12/24-12/26

Sweet 16: 12/27 + 12/28

Elite 8: 12/29

Semi-Finals: 12/30

Final: 12/31

Winner announced during 1/1

Rules:

NO PUMO OR QUOTEMO VOTES WILL BE COUNTED UNLESS THEY ARE IDENTIFIABLE/A KNOWN MONIKER

I will try to have votes up by early morning Eastern on the day voting starts for that group. Voting strictly finishes at 6am Eastern the following day.

Please identify who you are voting for by the name they are using so I am clear who you are voting for. The test is objective not subjective. If I don’t know who you are voting for, I won’t count your vote.

No pumo or quotemo will be counted unless they are identifiable or known or have a consistent identifiable email tag. I reserve the right to determine this as I see fit. There are no appeals. Each known moniker/account is allowed one vote per matchup; if they vote twice, their first time-stamped vote counts. If someone is clearly attempting to cheat with pumo alts or spamming votes multiple times from the same account or something like that, I reserve the right to nullify their votes as I see fit.

There is no appeals procedure.
