Followed by a meeting with a very animated senior associate from Miles & Stockbridge, talking about how the firm is a "lifestyle firm" and "the kind of place you can actually expect to make partner, so you really have to take the long view here, and honestly you're in the top 15% at UB. Let's just say you'll make partner at Miles if you want it."
the associate snaps back into reality just as the announcement that Skadden associates had the day off. "Fuck this, he thinks," and goes for the bottle of Black Label.
