The playoffs, NIL, transfer portal have truly overturned the traditional CFB hierarchy.

tcr. Oklahoma should not be lumped in with midwest states like Utah and Pennsylvania

Truly a coincidence that SEC decline occurred immediately after paying players became above board.

cr. if those other teams had showed the same maniacal devotion to the rules that, say, michigan did, it could have been a totally different ballgame.

Every "national championship" after Texas vs USC has been meaningless. It was the Last CFB National Championship Game

Vince Young and Leinart being NFL busts tarnished the game IMO

That actually made it more legendary imo

For me college fb was good because it was an entirely separate game from the pros. There was such a thing as a star player whose specific talents made them generationally elite in college but not end up being anything in the NFL. It made it more unique and special and the games played a lot differently than the NFL too

Now it's literally just a corporatized minor league for the NFL and it's gay as hell. Players and coaches switching teams every year and skipping bowl games. There have even been coaches that have come from the NFL to coach college teams to capitalize on the easy corporate money and clout lmao shit is a joke
