Productivity has actually declined in Australia in recent years so the government runs an extremely high rate of mass migration to try stop the country from falling into a headline GDP recession. This strategy artificially masks years of declines in living standards.

They need to keep pumping migration otherwise falling demand will eventually lead to the collapse of the housing market and with it our major banks.
