Date: August 26th, 2025 7:54 AM Author: MISO HORNY Back in 19 90 I think it was I was working at some legal publishing outfit doing proofreader editor type work and out of the blue for some reason I remarked to my coworker Mark that I felt that the reason that the correctional system let people out of jail or was lenient them was so that they could go out and commit new crimes and therefore give the correctional system additional work.. mark countered saying that was very cynical.. which I guess it was because at the time I did not have that much experience with government work never having been a government worker except when I was in the military.. but later on in life I became a government worker and I actually retired from the government. And I really think that's the way things work you know... not only that but I became a lawyer and I did some criminal defense work and I think now I was right all along.. one big reason why the system is becoming increasingly lenient with criminals is that it provides more work for the system ..
having been a government worker I see how that worked and I've seen Management in government agencies multiple government agencies create more rules and duplicate work in order to keep the workers busy. I think that's kind of what you're saying here or maybe it's a side effect of that because certainly in Phoenix when I lived there for 3 years recently ..three or four years, the city was filled with fentanyl addicts looking for something to steal. Up in this small High Desert City where I now live, it's more meth than fent. But they still roam the streets here.. actually they're much more active than the fentanyl addicts.. the meth addicts are more active and aggressive in their theft |
