Truly best in class there is nothing else that can normalize data from all sources and prep it for ML with elastic compute like this and automatically glacier what isn’t being queried it’s just an incredible fucking product

YOLO -- just put in an order for 10 shares.

Now I need to remember to sell. Usually when I do this with xoxo stock recs, I end up being up bigly after like 2-3 months or a year or whatever. And then I forget about the stock, and it ends up being down 3 years later.

It’s an incredibly gorgeous SaaS solution it can ingest data in any form and convert it into flattened SQL. Three ex Oracle engineering heads founded it. It will be EVERYWHERE soon

Trying to tell you guys. 90% of BIGDATA companies are using this shit and getting more and more of their operations fully entrenched. It will be the equivalent of SQL server going forward and they can jack up their prices without fear of losing any customers who will be entirely locked-in. There are no viable alternatives.

First-hand experience at companies without it where the CIO is begging the board to buy it, or companies that have it where the architects are rebuilding every antiquated ETL/data process into it.

I do not see getting off snowflake being very feasible either and no one seems to gaf because it's that good. You can run infinitely scaling compute jobs for transformation and have retardedly large data sets crunched in minutes if you scale a massive compute cluster. It sits like a wrapper on top of AWS/Azure and will automatically glacierize data which never gets used and all kinds of shit.

My understanding as a 1-2 sentence description is that it pwns for multicloud and its architecture/segmentation also makes it the best option to be able to scale different segments and manage it all easily, eg “containerization” was a big pre-occupation of maturing/multi-cloud environments in the back half of the 2010s but when Snowflake came along it got much easier. Seems less useful for smaller/non-enterprise companies but I’m not really sure if they have other products/use cases that are addressed to those customers.

like salesforce the strongest part of the company isn't the actual product it's that they have extremely good sales/marketing. which makes sense considering the founders came from oracle
