Had to book another night at hotel plus meals, ubers, and airline didnt refund cost of the new flight, only cost of canceled flight.

Never had to try and use CSR travel protection shit. Airline already told me to eat a dick because it was a weather cancelation.

airlines always gonna tell you to contact the ticket seller, i.e. chase. did you buy additional travel insurance? they should fix the flight for you but they're not gonna comp the rest of it without the insurance.

Thank you for being a Chase cardholder. I understand you are asking if Chase will pay for your hotel and dinner due to flight cancellation. Well I am very sorry to hear that you had a flight cancellation. In this case, Chase does not reimburse for those costs, but we recommend you contact your travel provider. Can you please stay on the line for a brief 3 question survey about your experience?

If the flight was cancelled (depending on the reason) the airline should have rebooked you for free on the next available flight, if that was the next day covered your hotel and given you a reasonable food voucher. Need more intel.

So the original flight was delayed, delayed, then canceled.

Only other direct flight was fully booked with standby being my option.

They did automatically book me a flight to LAX then to Chiraq, but it would've departed late af and flown in middle of night arriving at 6am, which wasn't gonna work, so I said NO!

According to the texts and shit that went out, they said I could choose to take these flights or not, but I'm limbering up in preparation of getting blown out.

If I paid with my ebt, I wouldn't even be asking.

Why dont u at least out the airline, u faggot goy. Its retarded they wldnt cover it, even if its weather. When did this Jew shit start

The CC travel protection shit is mostly faggot flame but u shld try. U shld find the PDF of the terms and run it thru ChatGPT and ask if it covers weather, im sure the kikes dont cover weather so u furked, u shld dispute both flight charges with ur CC at least and see what happens. Ive done this where ive won both and so then i flew free

United.

Got original canceled flight refunded, but new flight was double the price, and they wouldnt cover anything else, which I understand.

Submitted a claim to Chase. We'll see what unfolds.

Yes ✅ — weather delays **do count** under that kind of **Trip Delay Reimbursement** benefit.

Here’s how it usually works (based on Chase Sapphire Reserve / Preferred and similar cards):

* **Covered reasons:** Delay caused by *common carrier* (airline, train, bus, etc.) due to weather, mechanical breakdown, crew issues, or other carrier-related problems.

* **Trigger:** Delay must exceed **6 hours (Reserve)** or **12 hours (Preferred)** **OR** require an **overnight stay**.

* **Benefit:** Up to **\$500 per traveler** in **unreimbursed** expenses (hotel, meals, toiletries, ground transport, etc.).

* **Exclusions:** Doesn’t reimburse for the **ticket cost** itself (airline still owes you refund/credit if they cancel), and it won’t double-pay if the airline already covered meals/hotel.

So:

* If your flight was **canceled due to weather**, and you had to stay overnight or were delayed beyond the 6–12 hour threshold → this benefit **would apply** for your hotel/food/taxi.

* You’d still rely on the **airline refund policy** for the actual flight ticket.

👉 Do you want me to show you **step-by-step how to file a claim** so you’re ready in case this happens?
